ABOUT ELOUNDA, CRETE
Once a tiny picturesque fishing village, Elounda is a charming destination for travellers who are hankering after a calm seaside holiday. It is an enchanting mix of gentle local atmosphere in the bars and restaurants with a choice of small pretty beaches that are never overcrowded. The village has peacefully maintained its traditional Cretan culture and has not been spoilt by tourism.

Elounda has a spectacular coastline dotted with shady beaches, crystal clear seas and archaeological areas of interest - most famously the island of Spinalonga which is steeped in history.

The village of Elounda is only 1 hour's drive from the nearest airport, Heraklion, which receives flights from many main airports including London Gatwick.
THINGS TO DO
Bespoke fishing trips or boat trips with collection from the villa's own jetty. Boat trips can include stopping at beautiful bays around Elounda for a swim, all day trips out with a BBQ, fruit and drinks provided and of course - day trips to Spinalonga.
The villa has its own bicycles which guests are very welcome (and encouraged!) to use to explore hills.
Traditional Greek taverna experiences and private chefs for BBQs and evening meals can also be arranged.
Villa LouLa's owner and host, Vakis, is local to Elounda and is always happy to offer advice and recommendations for any local activities.
